Bitoshi Africa, an African cryptocurrency and digital financial services company, has partnered with TechOff 2026 as the headline sponsor of the technology platform, with a focus on supporting emerging African developers, designers, creators and innovators.

The partnership aims to provide young people with greater access to visibility, mentorship, networks and platforms that can help transform their ideas and technical skills into real opportunities.

Across Africa, young people are developing solutions in areas including technology, finance, commerce, media, education and everyday services. However, limited access to networks, industry exposure and platforms often remains a barrier to turning promising ideas into sustainable ventures.

Through the partnership, Bitoshi and TechOff will seek to create more opportunities for young African builders to showcase their work, engage with industry professionals, solve real-world problems and connect with the wider digital economy.

TechOff 2026 is being held under the theme, “Everybody Can Build,” reflecting its focus on creating opportunities for people from different backgrounds and disciplines to participate in technology and innovation.

The technology reality show platform, which began in 2023, has evolved through its 2024 hackathon and 2025 technology reality show formats. The 2026 edition is expanding into a multi-city experience featuring challenges, industry conversations and digital storytelling involving developers, designers, product thinkers, creators and problem-solvers.

The partnership comes as Africa’s technology and fintech sectors continue to expand, increasing demand for skilled professionals in areas such as software development, artificial intelligence, data, cybersecurity and product development.

A recent analysis by the Business & Financial Times highlighted the growing demand for technology talent across the continent and estimated that Africa could require about 4.5 million skilled developers by 2030.

The partnership between Bitoshi and TechOff is therefore focused not only on technical training but also on creating an ecosystem where emerging talent can build, test and showcase their ideas while gaining access to networks and opportunities.

Timilehin Zubair, CEO of Bitoshi Africa, said the company believes Africa’s digital future will be shaped by people who have the opportunity to build with technology.

“Africa’s digital future will not be defined by technology alone, but by the people who have the opportunity to build with it,” Zubair said.

He added that Bitoshi’s partnership with TechOff would allow the company to support young Africans who are developing and experimenting with solutions that could contribute to the continent’s digital economy.

Founded in 2020, Bitoshi has grown from a web application into a mobile platform focused on cryptocurrency and digital asset services. The company says its approach centres on accessibility, security, innovation and community building.

TechOff founder Olumide Sosanya said the platform was created to move beyond simply telling young Africans that they are the future and instead provide them with opportunities to actively build that future.

“Everybody Can Build” is our belief that innovation should not be limited by a person’s background, discipline or access to traditional technology pathways,” Sosanya said.

He said the partnership with Bitoshi would strengthen TechOff’s efforts to connect emerging builders with visibility, access and an ecosystem where they can test ideas, solve problems and explore new possibilities.

The two organisations aim to use the partnership to create more pathways for young Africans to apply their technical and creative skills, gain industry exposure and participate meaningfully in the continent’s growing digital economy.

Through TechOff 2026, emerging builders will have opportunities to showcase their ideas, engage with industry stakeholders and explore possibilities for turning innovative concepts into practical solutions.
